Physical Description

Two edged blade coarsely engraved, on one face with a hunting scene, the arms of Leon quartering Castile, and a leopard (?); on the other, foliage, an Imperial Eagle, and an unidentified coat of arms. The blade pierced with a triangle, a heart and a star. Silver covered ricasso, short steel quillons and at either end on the cow-horn plug grip a silver ferrule.
Black leather scabbard with a silver chape and locket, the latter engraved 'soide dn Manuel Monsalve'.
