Physical Description

Nomaculture changed in 1891 to Martini Metford Mk.I. The Martini Henry Mk.V .303 in was converted from a Martini Henry Mk.III but the markings were never altered. It is belived that only six examples were altered at Enfield in 1890. It is believed that only two examples are extant in the world.
The Specifications to govern conversions and Inspection for the Martini-Henry Mk.V were approved 18th February 1890
