Physical Description

Barrel stamped with government proof marks and viewer’s marks. On the underside is the names J.R. COOPER, W. CHORLEY and J. COCK in addition to numerous letters and numbers. Bayonet standard. Lock engraved with Royal Cipher and 1861 TOWER and stamped on the inner side with the names BARNETT, FRITH and other markings. Steel mounted Stock bearing the names T. DAVIS, W. YATES and MURPHY and a circular Enfield butt stamp.
