Provenance

Formerly Class XII.757 (1909-1916, The 1909 Dillon inventory system). Formerly Class XII.941 (1857-1909, The Old War Office inventory system otherwise known as the Hewitt system.). Originally registered in July 1897. Transferred from RSAF Enfield in 1891 as part of a collection of Sealed Pattern Arms. (Enfield list no.17)

Physical Description

Fully stocked almost to the muzzle, the bright barrel being retained by pins. a large sling swivel is screwed throught the forend, the other being attached just forward of the triggergurd. All fittings are brass. The lock is standard percussion type. There is a Lovell's bayonet catch fitted underneath the muzzle
