Physical Description

A ball of 9pdr size cast in two halves, each half having a long bar looped at the end and joined by a ring. The two halves are positioned by three lumps cast on one face fitting into three corresponding recesses on the other.

Probably that illustrated in Skinner's 'History of London', 1795, where it is described as link shot. It is very similar to one included in the trophy of arms from the Tower of London engraved by John Pine in 'The Tapestry Hangings of the House of Lords': etc., London, 1739.
