Physical Description

For a rifled, breech-loading gun, possibly the Armstrong R.B.L. 64pdr of 1864. Of conical form, the sides covered with lead to enable the rifling to grip, the lead moulded with four slightly raised bands. There is a fuse hole in the nose now plugged with india-rubber.
