Physical Description

Curved lockplate, marked with a government ownership mark, Crown over GR, and TOWER, and above steel-spring; WK. Conventional stock for this pattern in that no fore-end cap is fitted. It has a plain brass triggerguard, no triggerplate, and a flat sheet brass buttplate. The forward of the two ramrod pipes has a shoe-type retaining spring for the ramrod. Right side of the butt marked 102, crowned broad arrow over 1805, and IV.C.R. Left side marked with crowned P and broad arrow over BO. The barrel retains its rough-filed and blackened surface, and is marked with two government proofmarks two crowns.
