Transferred from the Rotunda Museum of Artillery, 1974, with III.2697-99. Probably from Malta, 1826.

Physical Description

The pauldron comprises a main plate , embossed with spiral volutes at the front and rear, with lames above and four below. The vambrace comprises an upper cannon and turner only. The main edges have roped inward turns, with sunken borders. The subsidiary edges are bordered by single incised lines, and have medial V-shaped nicks. The transverse ridge of the turner is roped. At the top is a buckle.
