From Malta, 1826, re-accessioned from Middle Flint Tower (1987). Probably from one of the armours formerly on loan 7 to Dover Castle, III.53-65, including III.2628-35.

Physical Description

Of peascod form, with medial keel, and fitted woth a fauld of three lames. At either arm is a moveable gusset. The neck and gusset edges have roped inward turns, with a lobe at the centre of the neck. The breastplate is embossed with raised bands angled up to either arm, and along the keel, and the fauld with three raised bands, at the centre and at either side.
