Physical Description

The pauldron is formed of seven lames of which the upper three extend over the chest and back. Decorated with roped turns and bands of etched trophies in the so-called Pisan style. The largest lame has a repaired split running half the length of its etched band. The hole intended to recieve a turning-pin in the top lame has been repaired, as has a splt in the etched band of the fourth lame.

Inscriptions and Marks

The lower edge of hte first lame is marked witha single V-shaped notch, and the second lame with two such notches. the third to seventh lames are successively incised with the numbers IIII, V, VI, VII and VIII.
