Physical Description

Blade is straight and divided into 3 sections. A short plain recasso, with a stamp on one side. The next section takes up around two thirds of the overall blade length, is single edged and of triangular section with a slightly rounded back. The final third is double edged and of flattened diamond section. The grip is of wood bound with wire, with a copper alloy ferrule at the top and bottom. The pommel is a flattened ovoid with a flared tang button. There is a simple engraved band of floral decoration running across the top of the pommel. The gand guard is triangular, curving over the knuckles from the quillons to the pommel, and has turned over edges. The surface of the guard has heavy, horizontal ridging. the quillons are straight with the final 50mm of their length having a right hand twist and a button terminal.
