Physical Description

With head formed like the talons of a bird of prey in front, balanced behind the central socket by a facetted fluke. On the upper surface the socket is closed by a hinged trap. The whole is engraved with coarse patterns. Modern haft.
The head probably comes from a 'brandestoc' in which a hidden blade springs from within the haft.
