Physical Description

The cast copper alloy (brass) hilt consisting of a lion-head pommel with a pierced lug at the jaw for a now missing ring, the grip decorated with bands of scallop-shells and straight quillons with spatulate terminals, the ecusson bearing an engraved flower on each face and long langets. The hilt appears to bear traces of gilding.

The curved, single-edged, blade bears a narrow, shallow, fuller, near the back edge.
