Donated by a private donor on 13th July 2015. Purchased by the donor in 1975 for £350 from the Antique Gun Shop, Birmingham. The Antique Gun Shop believed that the gun was once part of the Tower of London.

Physical Description

Round blackened 9 inch, .57 in calibre smoothbore barrel; marked on the lock plate with crown and William IV cypher and with an ordnance mark. Flat lock plate with double line boarder and 'ring necked cock' and bridle with decorative engraving. Broad arrow markings and crown also on the Walnut stock. Brass 'New Land Pattern' furniture, steel swivel ramrod; steel belt hook on rear side.
