Physical Description

For Royal Artillery. Double side-by-side barrels with browned finish, the right smooth bore the left rifled with nine-grooves. The barrels hook into a false-breech and bear government proof and property marks, the false breeches carrying a folding back-sight. Locks with flat lock-plates and swan-necked cocks, the lock-plates engraved with the name of the maker H. Nock. Stocks with short fore-ends and brass trigger-guards the barrels carrying a single brass, trumpet shaped ramrod-pipe. Steel ramrods. The pistols are equipped with removable shoulder butts fitting into key-hole slots in the pistol butts.
