Physical Description

Slender barrel of heavily corroded cast iron, octagonal at the breech and for about one third of its length. Then, after a double band moulding around onlu the upper flats, the barrel is round to the muzzle. The muzzle is decorated withe a large, moulded, brass sleeve. A round touch-hole on the top flat at the breech. The cascable is again formed of a large and moulded brass sleeve, the front border of which is decorated with a band of strawberry leaf decoration. The gun has no trunnions, but instead, beneath, at the point of balance, is a pierced lug for attaching some form of stock
