Physical Description

The damaged hilt consists of a small (modern) spheroid pommel and small, pierced and chiselled, 'kidney-shaped' guards , one on either side of the blade; 'pas d'ane' loops (one broken) and short quillons. The knuckle-guard is now lacking. The grip is of wood.

The straight, quadrangular-section, blade bears a fuller on each face, in each of which is the stamped letter 'S' is repeated six times.
