Physical Description

The hilt consists of a flat pierced and chiselled steel pommel with a copper alloy (brass) wire-bound wooden grip.The quillons are vertically recurved and the ring-guard, attched to the quillon block, is of flat section.
The blade is straight and two-edged, with two, long, central fullers.An unidentified (maker's?) mark is stamped twice on each face of the blade.
