Physical Description

With a two-piece skull joined in a low comb. The main edge has a plain inward turn with a sunken border formerly containing thirty-three lining rivets, of which twenty-nine survive. Around the base of the skull is an embossed ridge, with a row of twenty-seven lining rivets above and twenty-seven below (of which thirteen of each are on the left). The plume holder is missing.

Inscriptions and Marks

Stamped at the right of the brim with crowned IR. Also marked outside with a pattern of four punch marks.
