Physical Description

The gun is slender form; the reinforce is octagonal, and the chase which is of tear-drop section, has the muzzle end jutting 6 inches from the jaws of a dragon's head modelled in relief, the muzzle moulding rising to form a fore-sight. The vent had a hinged cover, now missing. There is a short breech-strap as if to take some form of tail or butt, though there is no means of attachment. A heavy iron pivot is fitted to the trunnions

In the 1916 Inventory this gun is catalogued as Indian and stated to have probably come from Scinde. The latter may possibly be true, though no authority for this statement is given, but the gun is without doubt European.
