Physical Description

With a single nasal bar, a one-piece skull, peak, neckguard and cheek-pieces. The skull is embossed with sixteen radial ridges, seperated by brass-headed rivets and rosette washers. The main edges have roped inward turns with sunken borders, containing eleven rivets on the peak, ten on the upper plate of each cheekpiece, and seven on the lower. The peak is attached to the skull by six rivets. Each upper cheekpiece is pierced with a rosette of eleven holes. The original lining, of quilted, padded canvas, survives in the skull and neckguard. The nasal is restored.
