Physical Description

It is formed of one piece front and rear, with a raised neck and a points at the centres of the lower edges. The main edges have plain inward turns with recessed borders. The plates are joined by a rivet at the left, and by a stud and keyhole slot at the right. At either side of the neck of the rear plate is a rivet where pauldron straps were attached, for mounting the gorget with a cuirassier armour. The surface is bright. there is a large crack in the centre of the rear plate.
