Physical Description

Skull with high, roped comb the lining-strap rivets having brass rosette washers. Brim turned down at the sides and upsept at front and rear. Roped inward turn with recessed barder. Etched with strapwork, foliage and trophies with in the centre on either side oval medallions containing classical warrors. The helmet which has suffered from rust corrosion has at some period been cleaned with acid.
