Notes

This entry does not tie up with illustration in FFoulkes's 'Inventory and Survey' which probably represents III.75.

A notation in the margin of the catalogue from the Bernal Sale of 1855 records III.79 being assigned to Lot 2418, 'A breast and back plate, of globose form-1480', which the Tower purchased at the sale. II.75 is said to have been purchased at the Bernal Sale, but there is no record in the margins of the catalogue indicating that this number was assigned to the pieces bought by the Tower.
