Physical Description

With octagonal barrel silver-damascened with scrolling foliage overall (worn and incomplete) and cut with two lines of beading at the muzzle, flat lock with bevelled tail cut with a line of beading at the rear, chiselled cock and steel, the former with jaws forming a monster's head, the top jaw with a looped cocking-ring secured by the jaw screw, the latter decorated with a further monster's head, and chiselled sliding pan-cover, mainspring and steel-spring, russet iron full stock incised with pairs of lines, heart-shaped pommel with brazed medial line and threaded ring for suspension, line engraved belt hook, button trigger, and pierced line engraved ramrod-pipe (ramrod missing, russet overall)
