Date

2011

Object Number

XXX.172

Provenance

Purchased from AJS Gunsmithing Services, London on 17 February 2012. New manufacture.

Physical Description

In standard as-issued configuration with polymer outer receivers, solid side-folding butt-stock containing two-piece cleaning rod, underbarrel grenade launcher attachment lug, standard Russian optical sight mount on the left side, and uniquely AN-94 features including reciprocating barrel/action assembly, dual closed chamber muzzle device, canted magazine well, and five position dial rear sight. This example is an 'MMG' or dummy gun for training and instructional purposes. This is very similar to pre-1995 UK deactivation specification, with bolt face cut away at 45 degrees, firing pin removed, and barrel plugged and slotted. The magazine has also had its feed lips removed. It can still be manually operated and fully stripped.
