Physical Description

Long cuff, made in two pieces curving up to a point on the under-side to protect the elbow and an upstanding flange on the upper side. Five metacarpal lames overlapping upwards. Two knuckle-plates. All edges are decorated with double incised lines.

This gauntlet shows the construction of a late Greenwich gauntlet which is emphasised by the fall of the metacarpal plates and the cabling of the knuckle ridge.
