Physical Description

The backplate has a narrow flange with a turning pin on each side for the attachment of the culet. The surface is blued with gilt bands edging all the plates with the addition of three broader vertical bancds on the cuirass and culet and single bands running down the outside of the armpieces and the centre of the tassets. The stell rivets used throughout have gilt heads. All the straps are original and are faced with red velvet.
