Physical Description

The breastplate is of peascod form, with moveable gussets at the arms each retained by two rivets. The narrow waist flange has a roped edge, and is fitted at either side with three modern leather straps for the tassets. The breastplate has a modern buckle at either shoulder for the straps from the backplate, attached by rivets with rosette washers. A hinged hasp is riveted at either side of the breastplate, engages a pierced stud at either side of the backplate, where they are secured by pins on modern cords secured in holes just below the arm opening.
