Tower arsenal.

Physical Description

The left tasset is composed of seven lames overlapping upwards, articulated on sliding rivets at the outside and modern leathers at the centre and inside. The main edges have plain inward turns bordered by single incised lines and lining rivets with square washers. At the rear of the upper plate is the hasp and knuckles of a hinge with detachable pin for attachment to the culet. At the front is a modern strap. The exterior is bright.

Inscriptions and Marks

Stamped 42 on the upper lame; inside each lame is the construction mark, X and three wedges.
