Physical Description

A sword-bladed saw-back bayonet similar in type to the PAttern 1875 sawback bayonet. It has a rivetted two piece leather grip, with beaked pommel and press-stud for attachment to the rifle locking lug.The crossguard is straight and of bright steel with a muzzle ring. The upped edge of the blade is sawbacked, the blade ending in a spear point. A fuller runs half the length of each side of the blade. The brown leather scabbard is stitched up its back and has a steel chape and locket, both polished.
