Physical Description

Of iron, with broad straight sides with a medial ridge, and a long, straight neck of flattened lozenge section dividing into a rowel box holding a small multi-pointed star rowel. At the end of the sides is a pierced hole for the strap passing under the sole. Behind these at the upper edge is a pierced lobe for the strap passing over the foot. On the outside is a large stud, probably for another strap. The surface is pitted and patinated, almost all the points of the rowel are damaged, the loop at the right side is damaged.
