Physical Description

Of iron, with slender sides of facetted D section slightly curved under the wearer's ankle, a medium length neck of hexagonal section, curving slightly upwards, swelling a little before dividing into a rowel box with round ends, containing a siw-pointed star rowel. At the end of either side is a figure 8 terminal. The surface is covered with the remains of a non-ferrous plating, probably tinning.
