Physical Description

Of iron, with long slender sides moderately curved under the wearer's ankle, of D section, with a medium length neck of rounded square section, angled downwards, holding a small eight pointed rowel. At the end of either side is a flat rectangular terminal pierced with two horizontal slots. The surface is patinated dark brown and shows signs of lamination. Part of each terminal is alomst rusted through.
