Provenance

First registered 29 June 2004 following return from loan to the Australian War Memorial [museum] (reg. no. 964), being the remains of one of the Loans to the Dominions, sent out in 1921.

Physical Description

It comprises an originally flat peak with a flange embossed for the comb and extended into pitoted terminals at either side. The main edge has a plain inward turn with a recessed border. The triple bar faceguard is joined in a plain terminal at the bottom, and riveted to the peak. It is painted black. The peak is bent down at the right.
