Provenance

First registered 25 June 2004 following return from loan to the Australian War Memorial [museum] (reg. no. 5541.001), being the remains of one of the Loans to the Dominions, sent out in 1921. Tower arsenal.

Physical Description

It is crudely made, with a high neck and a medial ridge. The main edges have slight outward flanges, and are bordered by widely spaced lining holes. At either side of the chest is a mushroom headed stud for the shoulder straps. At the lower right is a staple and at the lower right a hook, for the belt. The exterior is painted black.
