Physical Description

The items are mounted on a card contained within the case and are identified by manuscript labels and are as follows:
1. a tube (this is of copper, approximately 0.25 inches diameter, 1.375 ins long, and closed at one end)
2. detonator - a second, identical tube.
3. electrical connections - a strip of nickel silver, punched to dreate a comb-like strip from which the 'prongs' are cut to make the connectors.
4. fuse head - a bead of explosive composition fused to the tip of one of the electrical connections.
5. wired fuse head - one of item 4 attached to connecting wires.
6. Electric detonator - a complete assembly conisting of a wired fuse head inserted into a detonator tube.
A typed paper label inserted into the case reads:-
'These detonators are dummies. The fuse heads only are inflammable.'
