Physical Description

Iron. The tsuba is sukashi and of rounded form, maru gata, the rim being almost square, kaku mimi. There is only the kozuka hitsu, outlined by a very slender bar, the kogai hitsu being formed by a gap in the design. The seppa dai is fully shaped and the nakago hitsu has been punched to fit a smaller blade. The design takes the form of leaves and stems of the arrowhead plant, omodaka, and another broader leafed plant. The veins of the leaves are lightly incised.
