Physical Description

A 'spike' bayonet comprising one piece cast socket and round section blade, the socket having a locking catch at the rear The blade has a chisel point and is bright polished, the rest of the bayonet being blackened. The tubular metal scabbard is tapered towards its base, with a round finial at the tip. A round frog button is fitted at the top. It too is blackened.
