Physical Description

A Pryse-type revolver, with hinged frame, and double thumb latches, one either side of the frame just forward of the hammer. The barrel is octagonal with a high top rib. The large thumbscrew on the left enables the cylinder to be removed once it has been loosened. The oval trihherguard is retained by two screws. The once piece grip is chequered all over and has a large lanyard loop fitted. The entire pistol is blued and decorated with gold inlay in the form of swirls, floral designs and lines. Small gold dot inlays have been placed on the rear of the grip below the hammer, the hinge bar at the front of the frame and on the lanyard ring mount. Sights are V notch rear and blade front, the top rib being finely chequered along its length to cut down reflection
