The left slide is engraved, in gold; 1871 NRA CENTENNIAL 1971 THE FIRST 100 YEARS OF SERVICE .45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER.
The case is of wood lined in yellow velvet with an NRA meddallion set into perspex in the lid
