Purchased from D. Oliver, 10 March, 2000 (and known by him as 'no. 5'). From the Thames near Southwark Bridge (date unknown).

Physical Description

Long, narrow ballock dagger with grip of circular section, narrow at the base and flaring out at the top. The pommel cap resembles a flower. The globualr quillons are relatively small. The blade is of an alternating section, being triangular next to the shoulder of the quillons, then diamond shaped, triangular again then the final third is diamond shaped, tapering down towards the point.
Condition: Generally good, blade covered in thick patina. Grip in good condition - no cracks visible except what appears to be a repaired section along the top edge. There is also a small piece missing from the pommel (cap) in the same area.
