Physical Description

A sectioned bullet that cpmprises of a large diameter lead projectile, with hollow nose through which is inserted a cylindrical boxwood plug to aid expansion. The lower section of the bullet is hollow and tapered. The base of the bullet has a tapered wooden plug inserted into it. This is forced up into the skirt of the projectile on firing causing it to expand against the rifling of the barrel giving good sealing properties
