Physical Description

The action body, although heavily pitted, has had an engraved border around large scrolls. The barrel has waved lines engraved on its upper surface where it joins the receiver. The rear sight is a replacement having spurios numbers engraved on it. Around the forend are six heavy silver bands cast with flowers and foliage. At the muzzle is a winding of a soft white metal. The area of the grip is entirely covered in silver wire windings, finished off at each end by narrow beaded collars. Sling swivles have been fitted to the butt and to the first band, a leather sling survives.

Dimensions: The length of the barrel is 704 mm, the overall length of the gun is 1138 mm. Weight: The gun weighs 3.4 kg.
