Physical Description

An emergency war production example, comprising a heavy, single edged, unfullered blade, straight crossguard with small muzzle ring and two piece rivetted woode grips. The pommel of the bayonet has an unusual flat bar, which is a continuation of the tang. It has a drilled hole through the centre. All metalwork is blackened. The scabbard is of light wood made in one piece with crude cast flat-ended steel chape and locket. The locket has a welded bar to mount a frog loop.
