Physical Description

Darby style design, partially adjustable. Chrome plated steel. Made by Hiatt. 'D'-shaped cuffs with cylindrical shafts which pass through the lock case. Deep notches on the bow with bevelled edges on one side. The keyhole is situated on top of the lock case; there is a single key. A four-piece chain links the cuffs.

Inscriptions and Marks

'HIATT' (last T only partly legible) is stamped on each cuff. 'BRITISH MADE' is marked on one cuff. The bases of both lock cases are stamped with a ring of marks which resemble the letter Y.
