Purchased 24 November 1997 (Smith Colln. No.15). Previously part of Deposit AO271. Found beneath Southwark Bridge.

Physical Description

With iron hammer-head shaped pommel and lateral S-shaped quillons. The grip is missing. The blade is straight and double edged, of a flat, off-centre tirangular section. Once face of the blade is flat while the other features the off-centre medial ridge.
