Physical Description

A single barrelled percussion pistol, with walnut furniture. The lock is a standard pattern Springfield manufactured miltary type, with provision for a Maynard tape primer. There ia a brass triggerguard and buttcap, a pommel ring and front sling swivel. The rear of the butt is slotted to accept a wooden shoulder stock, which is also of walnut. This locates by means of a sprung locking catch. Barrel and lock have a dark patina with original blued finish visible
