Physical Description

The flap is trapezoidal in shape, the lower convex edge being downwards. At the top are two gilt ball-shaped buttons for attachment. The body of the flap is of dark blue brocade with a triangular pattern in gold. The surface is studded with rows of gilt studs. Around the edge of the panel is a wide border of dark brown velvet inside of which is sewn a white silk braid having a shaded blue central band. The back is of pale blue silk.
