Physical Description

The greave is formed of front and rear plates hinged at the outside, fastened by sprung studs at the top and bottom on the inside. The lower edges and upper rear edge have plain inward turns and recessed borders. The front plate has a medial ridge, and is fitted at the top with a stud and turning pin for attachment to the poleyn. It is decorated with recessed bands with three pairs of double incised lines, and transverse bands of recessed scallops, all retaining some or all of their original gilding.
